Our Philosophy
Since its establishment in 1917 as a private Christian school, BCS has provided an academically challenging and biblically-based education. We teach subjects as part of an integrated whole, with the Scriptures at the center.
Parents have a Biblical mandate to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Gen 18:19, Deut 6:4-7; Eph 6:4). In keeping with that mandate, we believe that a child’s education is, first and foremost, the responsibility of the parents; therefore, BCS strives to operate as a servant to the family.
Our Mission
The mission of Baldwin Christian School is to prepare children to take an active role in God's world by putting everything under his Lordship, thus glorifying God and serving their fellow man.
Our Vision
Baldwin Christian School students will be:
- Challenged by a rigorous, classical curriculum.
- Equipped to impact the culture in which they live for the cause of Christ.
- Able to articulate and defend their beliefs and to accurately evaluate other viewpoints.
- Inspired to become lifelong learners, continually and eternally dependent on the Word of God.
